Co-founder of ElevatEd Automotive Solutions, where we build AI tools for the people who fix things and the people who teach them. I'm also a full-time automotive instructor and lead for the Mopar CAP program at Dakota County Technical College. It started with a practical problem: prep work was eating my evenings. So I started building AI tools to handle the parts that were repetitive but not thoughtless — drafting task sheets, structuring labs, building assessments, mapping out a semester. That work eventually became ShopCommand, along with a set of AI diagnostic and training tools now used in shops and dealerships. I'm not interested in AI as a novelty, and I'm skeptical of most of what gets sold as one. What I care about is what gets a student to competency faster, what gives an instructor their evenings back, and what makes a first-year tech useful on the floor instead of expensive.
