Vermeer CAN Bus Training
Wednesday August 5, 2026 8:00am - 11:30pm CDT
  • Brently Beall - Service Training Lead from Vermeer Corp. in Pella, IA will be focusing on CAN bus control systems. It is true that these systems help to simplify wiring, improve reliability, delivered operator-friendly controls, and provided more machine operating information but it takes a well-trained technician to diagnosis and repair them when issue arise. Last Brently shared the Vermeer training methodology for basic electrical systems and this year he is building on that by diving into the concept and theory for CAN bus as the systems become increasingly prevalent in our daily work.

John Deere Electro-Hydraulic Systems
Wednesday August 5, 2026 1:00pm - 4:30pm CDT
  • Jared Rentmeester – Instructor for 4WD Loaders & Scraper System from John Deere in Davenport, IA will be focusing on Electro-Hydraulic systems (EH). Gone are the days of mechanical linkages as EH controls electronic joysticks and pedals sending signals to hydraulic valves, resulting in smoother, more precise operation, and the ability to automate repetitive tasks. As John Deere continues to integrate EH into their equipment lines it is important to understand how these systems work and can be taught as they are blending electrical and hydraulic systems into one.
